| CIJ 72 Tele custom pickup specs | |

| Hello guys, I thought that I would share this info with you as I've been trying to find out those things until I opened my CIJ custom order 72 to swap the bridge pickup. FWIW this is not the regular export model but a custom model aimed at the Japanese market. It is the guitar used by Futoshi Abe so not being a standard CIJ it might be different from other CIJ 72 custom guitars. Regarding the electronics: 1) the bridge pickup ( fender japan TL Current (70's type reissue) bridge pickup ) has a brass plate unlike the MIM reissues. 2) the WRHP seems to be the ceramic model ( fender japan TN Humbucking Neck pickup ) - it hasn't got the 4 wires. The electronics are different because the toggle switch is located where the second tone control should be so there are only two volumes and one tone control. The WRHP volume is a 500k and the bridge volume is a 250k. The tone is a 250k. I didn't check the capacitor value though. | |
