| Just bought a '72 MIM Thinline in very pale, (sort of duck egg blue). All the sites I've checked on say that it can be dated from the serial number, i.e. MZ2 then 5 digits = 2002-2003. Mine has MZ2 and then six digits: 119967. Can you help? By the way, I've just put it though my Mesa Boogie Nomad and it is stunning. I have been playing for 30 years and mainly use a '56 Goldtop with P90's; not any more! What a tonal range, what a feel, what balance. And I'd also told myself that I didn't like maple necks...pah! What do I know? Keep up the good work. All the best, (very) recent convert, Dave. | |
