| has anyone changed the bridge plate and saddles for a flat plate/6 saddle bridge? how would it affect the sound of the bridge pup?

| Yep. Changed the crappy 3 saddle bridge on my 2002 MIM for a gotoh 6 saddle bridge. No redrilling or filling as fitted specially for a vintage tele replacement. This thing weighs 3 times as much as the cheap standard bridge and improved both the tone and intonation by a country mile. Not cheap though around £50 in the uk. I was initially worried about changing the personality of the tele but was by far the best upgrade I have done. Go for it | |
